What does working at LAC+USC mean to you? As a medical student I was really impressed with LAC+USC’s strong emphasis in serving and advocating for disadvantaged patients. I was also very impressed with the incredible range and depth of pathology and level of dedication to teaching. This emphasis on advocacy and education really resonated with me it provides me with many opportunities to make a positive difference in people’s lives. I feel happiest when I feel I am making a positive difference in people’s lives. I think this is a big reason why I truly enjoy working here at LAC+USC because provides many opportunities to make a positive difference and it is a joy to work with people who also have this mindset because it seems to lead to a very supportive environment to work in, teach residents and medical students, and care for patients.

What does working at LAC+USC mean to you? I chose to train at LAC+USC because of the mission to serve marginalized and underserved populations. I chose to stay on as faculty because the people who work here live that mission every day.  It is my privilege to provide care to our patients, to work for enhanced services on their behalf, and to educate our next generation of physicians to be strong clinicians and fierce patient advocates.
