The Westside

Overview

The Westside of Los Angeles consists of a mix of the more upscale areas of Beverly Hills, Bel-Air and Brentwood, with the eclectic, energetic feel of Westwood, Century City, and surrounding communities.

Landmarks

The Westside is home to such landmarks as the Getty Center Museum, the National Veteran's Cemetery, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Beverly Hills' famed Rodeo Drive.

Shopping, Dining, & Nightlife

The Westside offers a unique array of shopping, dining and nightlife entertainment. There are several malls, both outdoor and indoor, boutique-lined streets, and complexes that offer the latest in fashion and dining experiences. The newly opened Hollywood & Highland complex, as well as The Grove at Farmer’s Market, are popular favorites among all ages. Clubs, bars and performance-based venues are scattered throughout the Westside, and the wide, diverse selection of nightlife spots ensure entertainment for every budget.

Housing

The cost of living in areas like Beverly Hills can be high and tends to be populated by families as opposed to young singles, while Westwood and Century City boast a rich fusion of all ages and types, with a more varied cost of living.

School Systems

The school systems of the Westside of Los Angeles are particularly strong and actively collaborate with the Police Department and the Department of Parks and Recreation to promote a healthy, safe, and active environment for students.
