Pasadena is situated at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains, boasting a Mediterranean-like climate, tree-lined streets, unique neighborhoods, a lively “Old Town,” and a bevy of historical and cultural attractions.

Landmarks

Pasadena is probably most famous for its Annual Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl, yet the city is also home to numerous other attractions. The world-renowned California Institute of Technology, which manages the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and whose scientists frequently collaborate with those of the Keck School, is located there. Other prominent venues include the art collection of the Norton Simon Museum, the theatrical offerings of the Pasadena Playhouse (founded in 1917), and the historic Huntington Library, Art Collection and Botanical Gardens.
